I had many different jobs during my young adult years but would always pick up a guitar and have a good strum at a party. As an apprentice mechanic, I had a deep love for Kombi Vans, so I got a job building and working on them. After owning several I decided to really put my learnt skills to the test. With the green machine built and on the road, I had friends and family hitting me up to chauffeur them around to weddings and formals. What an honour.
With a huge selection of music and a great gift of knowing which song to put on at the right time to set the mood, I started DJ’ing at parties which then led onto weddings. From then on, I started joking about being Mr Entertainment, “MR” being my initials. Brilliant hahaha.
As life took over and bills became excessive, I decided to follow the crowd at the time and do fly in, fly out mining. After 3 years I started losing my outgoing personality and mentally took a dive suffering from Anxiety and Depression. I fast learnt money does not equal happiness.
